Our Origin

More than forty years ago, in Makrana, Rajasthan—the home of some of the world’s finest marble—a quiet idea began to shape what would become Sthetix In Stone.

Founded by Mr. Uday Pasricha, the brand was built on deep respect for India’s marble heritage and a belief that traditional craftsmanship must evolve to stay relevant.

With design rooted in Mumbai and crafting in Rajasthan, Sthetix grew through close collaboration with artisan families whose skills have been passed down for generations.

Early on, our work focused on large architectural commissions—entrances, façades, pillars, murals, benches, and sculptural installations created for distinguished spaces across India and abroad.

Our Signature Innovation

Years of experimentation led us to discover how certain marbles reveal a remarkable translucency when sculpted with precision.

By controlling thickness and form, we allow light to pass gently through the stone, uncovering warmth and depth from within.

Our Evolution

Over time, our focus moved from monumental stonework to contemporary living, as spaces began to become compact.

Instead of asking how much stone could be added, we began asking how much could be thoughtfully refined away.

This led to a new design language—lighter, thinner, and structurally intelligent marble pieces that retain strength while becoming more practical for modern homes. As spaces became smaller and more intentional, we reimagined marble and stone as handcrafted objects that are beautiful, functional, and easier to live with.
